About Us:
We have a small petting zoo living at our home. Not really, but several small animals, including…rabbits.
I call them my little 80’s Hare Band. Get it? “Hare” band. Because they’re rabbits. And they’re named after classic rock stars. There’s Ozzy Ozbun, Eddie Rabbit, Bun Jovi, Bunny Holly, and Holyfield. He gets his name from the fighter, who also got his ear bit off. But anyway.
Fast forward, and I find out I have 2 fur babies with chronic conditions. One has Megacolon Syndrome and the other battles frequent GI stasis. I learned this the hard, expensive way after giving them some store bought treats. Turns out those treats are full of everything you shouldn’t give your bunny babes.
So, I made it my mission to find treats they could enjoy that wouldn’t elicit a bunny diarrhea episode or trigger a bout of bunny constipation. But I couldn’t. Almost every store bought treat triggered one or the other. I knew then that I was going to have to make them myself.
After about a year of perfecting the various recipes they enjoy and making creations that even our dogs devour, we decided that the rest of the world needed these. So, we give you…HareBand Cookies. ❤️🙏
